Our Beliefs

The purpose of Coulter Road Baptist Church is described in its Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Our Mission– To know Jesus and make Him known (Phi. 3:10a)

Our Vision- To be a lighthouse (Matt. 5:14-16) that shines the light of Jesus through our:

Worship which is passionate and spiritual

Fellowship which is deep and strengthening

Discipleship which is challenging and transformational

Ministry which is caring and compassionate

Evangelism which is intentional and relational

Our Core Values:

Jesus’ Identity- Our faith is built on Jesus. He is God’s Son, who died for all humans and rose again so that we might have a relationship with Him. He continually challenges us to find our identity in Him and become more like Him every day.

Jesus Worship- Worship is more than a Sunday experience, but is a total lifestyle transformation. Worship is to be pursued in every area of our lives– we are called to eat, drink, speak, think and work to the glory of God.

Jesus’ Word- We value the Good News of Jesus Christ as the way to salvation as presented to us through the Bible. It is the inspired word of the living God and we believe Holy Spirit uses it to inspire, guide, correct and transform lives.

Jesus Living- The life of Jesus is marked by prayer and service. Prayer was the connection between Him and God the Father. We follow His example of intimate prayer found in John 17. By cleansing the feet of His disciples in John 13, Jesus gave an incredible example of service and commands us to do the same. We serve both within and outside the church, being part of our community. When we serve, we are on mission for Jesus.

Jesus Community- The Christian faith is not intended to be lived in isolation. We were made for community; relationship with God and  each other. We value fellowship and are committed to strengthening relationships within families, among believers and non-believers alike. We are a community that challenges each other and experiences life together, while becoming like Jesus.
